Your relationship data is too personal to hand to someone else.

So we built Kinship for you to own.

Most tools make privacy promises. We made privacy decisions, built into how the product works rather than into a policy we could quietly change. Here is exactly what that means.

What we commit to, and how it is built in

We don’t sell your data.

Your contacts, your notes, your relationship history — we don’t sell, license, or trade any of it to a third party. If Kinship is ever acquired, our Privacy Policy commits the buyer to the same or stronger privacy terms, and we tell you at least 30 days before any transfer.

Your employer can’t see your account.

Kinship is an individual product. There is no employer dashboard, no B2B licence that unlocks your personal account, and no admin view of what you have logged. It is built for you, not for the organisation you happen to work for.

Integrations only read.

When you connect Gmail, Outlook, or your calendar, Kinship reads — it doesn’t write. It doesn’t send email for you and it doesn’t change your calendar. Every scope we request is read-only, on every plan, and you can disconnect at any time.

AI is opt-in and separable.

Your raw notes and any AI-generated summary are stored separately, so you can read, edit, and delete each on its own. AI features are paid-plan only, off until you switch them on, and we don’t send free-tier data to any third-party AI model. Kinship works fine without them.

Your data is yours to take or delete.

Export everything, any time, free on every plan. Delete your account from settings and it is wiped immediately — no soft-delete limbo, no waiting period. Because deletion is immediate and final, export first: there is no export window afterwards. If we close your account for convenience or inactivity, you get notice and time to export before your data goes.

No advertising, and no ad profiles.

Kinship contains no ad networks and no tracking pixels that follow you around the web. We don’t sell your use of Kinship to advertisers and we don’t build advertising profiles.

How AI Works in Kinship

AI is opt-in, separate, and switchable.

Kinship can use AI to surface patterns and help you remember what matters. Here is how that is built:

  • Kept separate by design.

What you wrote and what the AI produced are stored in separate places, so you can read, edit, and delete each one independently.

  • Off until you turn it on.

AI features are opt-in. Nothing runs in the background by default, and free-tier data never reaches an AI model at all.

  • You can switch it off again.

Turn AI features off at any time if you would rather no AI processing happened. Kinship works without them.

What you can always do

Your data rights.

Export

Download a complete copy of your data at any time — contacts, notes, history, all of it. Free on every plan.

Delete

Remove your account and everything tied to it. Deletion is immediate and final, so export first.

Correct

Fix or update any contact or profile information whenever you like.

Disconnect

Disconnect any integration and Kinship stops reading from that system straight away.
